Head of ProgrammesGill has management responsibility for the development, performance, and quality of PCI’s international programmes, including fostering partnerships and seeking opportunities for wider collaboration and mutual learning.
She has a wealth of experience from more than 30 years managing humanitarian and development projects and programmes across a range of sectors and regions. From 2011 – 2015, Gill worked as International Programmes Director for RedR UK, responsible for the strategic oversight, financial performance, and overall management of RedR’s programmes in the Middle East, Europe, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kenya, Sudan, and South Sudan. In recent years, her work has focused on the development and delivery of training, coaching and other resources to build local organisational and staff capacities in emergency and conflict affected contexts.

With experience in leading on financial management within the not-for-profit sector, Julia has considerable expertise in all aspects of managing internal accounting as well as improving, developing and implementing robust financial processes. Dr Mamsallah Faal-Omisore
Strategy DirectorMamsallah is a practising GP/Family physician. With an MSc in Global Health Policy from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Mamsallah is also a seasoned health policy consultant and is currently based between the UK and Nigeria. She began work as a GP in inner city London, before moving to South Africa to work in operational research at the interface of HIV and primary care, subsequently working as a Clinical Lecturer in Family Medicine at Wits University. Most recently Mamsallah has worked in clinical practice in Lagos alongside a role as Faculty at the Healthcare Leadership Academy: HLA Africa. Mamsallah has worked with PCI since 2017, supporting a number of different partners and projects, and since 2020 has overseen all the clinical side to our work, as Clinical Director. In particular she has been leading our Clinical Associates on the development of material for our PCI Academy, ensuring that healthworkers get accurate, up-to-date and relevant knowledge and skills to manage a range of NCDs and broader primary care issues. From May 2024, Mamsallah has taken on the role of Strategy Director at PCI.

Jack Barton
Project ManagerJack has been a Project Manager at Primary Care International since 2017, where he leads the development and implementation of various projects, including the PCI Academy. Jack has a track record of coordinating global training events, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. His role involves collaborating with partners such as UNHCR, WHO, and MSF, and managing project-related finances, contracting, and procurement.
Before joining PCI, Jack worked with Oxfam GB in their Global Humanitarian Department, managing travel, security, and logistics for international training events. He also has experience living in Thailand, serving as an Academic Advisor in a Bangkok municipal school district.
In addition to his work in international development, Jack has a diverse background in civil engineering on airport projects and event management in Auckland, New Zealand, where he managed all aspects of event planning and execution.
Jack has a strong background in managing teams, developing digital products, and creating multimedia training materials.
