    Chief Executive Officer

    Julia brings to PCI substantial experience of global health and development, with experience spanning programme design, partnership building, strategy and business development. Prior to joining PCI in 2015, Julia spent five years shaping innovative approaches to scaling BasicNeeds’ award-winning Model for Mental Health and Development. With a background working with INGOs in global health, disability and community development in diverse settings across Africa and Asia, Julia has a particular interest in healthcare innovations with potential to reach groups who are marginalised from mainstream services. She has a BA in French with International Studies, an MSc in Development Management, and is a Clore Social and RSA Fellow.

    Head of Programmes

    Ros plays a central role in managing and developing the PCI project portfolio. She has a strong track record in strategy development, planning, programme management, working with partners and donors and monitoring and evaluation.  Prior to working at PCI Ros had substantial experience working on humanitarian and development projects in East Asia, South-East Asia and East Africa: working predominantly with the Red Cross Movement in field, headquarter and consultancy roles. She also worked with the Women’s Sport Trust in their operational team, promoting women’s sport.

    Digital Project Manager

    Jack coordinates development of PCI’s digital portfolio, in particular he led on the setting up and development of the PCI Academy. Previous to that Jack supported a number of projects across PCI including the UNHCR ‘Caring for Refugees’ programme. Jack arrived at Primary Care International from Oxfam GB, where he worked for the Cash Learning Partnership in their Global Humanitarian Department. Jack has lived and worked in Thailand where he was an Academic Advisor for a municipal school district in Bangkok.

    Digital Learning Administrator

    As our on-board Digital Learning Administrator, Daljeet supports the Digital Project Manager to manage the Learning Management System behind our PCI Academy. Together they team up to provide rich media, bespoke and intuitive learning materials for healthcare workers around the world. Previous to this role Daljeet has worked in several educational e-Learning training and teaching roles, and so brings a wealth of excellent digital skills and aptitude for digital solutions.

    Project Manager

    Sayid works on a wide portfolio of projects at PCI including working with the Libyan MoH to develop a unified in-service training plan for all primary care cadres and supporting the roll out of WHO ‘Global Hearts’ guidance in Jordan. He brings 10 years’ experience working in the humanitarian and development sector, having previously worked at Muntada Aid on health projects ranging from capacity building for midwives in West Africa to the provision of cardiac care for children born with congenital heart defects in resource-limited countries. In his private capacity he volunteers with UK Somali-led charities in improving their programmes. Sayid holds an MSc in NGO Management from Cass Business School.

    Head of Operations

    Sara has management responsibility for PCI’s Finance, HR and legal functions, infrastructure and internal policy development, as well as providing executive, governance and programme support, and managing our Clinical Associate network. Sara brings a breadth of administration, project and management experience to PCI from many years of working both for IBM and subsequently herself. In her private life, Sara is involved with a number of local community organizations and is a certified money coach for the national debt counselling charity Christians Against Poverty.

    Jane’s role at PCI is focusing on further development of the PCI Academy programmes including developing and supporting our communities of practices. She brings 20 years’ experience in the field of learning and professional development, working to design and embed impactful people-first strategies. She also has substantial experience in the healthcare sector having begun her professional career as a mental health nurse.

    Communications Manager

    Jane leads on all external and internal communications work at PCI, including the website and social media, and production of communications and promotional materials. She is also co-Chair of the Communications Working Group at BOND (the UK network for organisations working in international development).) Prior to joining PCI Jane had over fifteen years’ experience working for international non-governmental organisations with a particular focus on communications and knowledge management work, most recently supporting a multi-country women’s economic empowerment project at ActionAid.

    Digital learning lead (consultant)

    Harri has been working in developing online learning solutions for over 8 years. In that time she has worked in industries ranging from social care, to manufacturing, to beer production and even the judicial system. Her expertise lies in helping teams transform their content into highly effective online learning experiences, and she has several eLearning awards for her efforts. Harri is currently working with PCI to support our online learning offerings. Outside of PCI, she also supports other charities by sharing best practice and advice through the Charity Learning Consortium.
