As our Founding Chair retires, we are looking for an inspirational leader to take PCI forward in the next phase of its organisational life, strengthening primary healthcare around the world, and driving forward our strategy to reach 25,000 healthcare workers by 2025.
The overall purpose of the Board of Directors is to provide strategic leadership, scrutiny and support to the CEO and Executive Team. The Chair is responsible for providing leadership to the Board of Directors. S/he is also responsible for liaison between the Board and the CEO to ensure PCI fulfils its mission and achieves the highest standards of financial, legal and governance issues.
Whilst we are looking for someone who has previous board experience and/or experience leading an organisation, applications from candidates who bring lived experience of health systems in low-or middle-income countries will be particularly welcomed. Above all, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate compassion, kindness and who shows humility and flexibility as we work together on shared challenges.
We are seeking expressions of interest by July 19th with a view to the successful candidate taking up the role from January 2022. Please note that this is an non-remunerated role.
